THIS DOCUMENT DYNAMICALLY UPDATED Mon, 3 Aug 2009

Just for you to know. Only vid harvesting instructions here, the rest is on the Basecamp site for the Editorial, Entrepreneurial and Social Software Team :).

Short introduction and instruction - here we go! Mon, 3 Aug 2009

The harvesting spot is divided into some section.

On a first level, there is the blogging resources, then sites of complimentary interest (many early stages ventures that we would love to see a video for!), then there are videos ready to harvest!

• OK MARKED FOR INCLUSION

In the beginning, the type of copyright is marked, so we know the rights level.

(cc) If the vid is marked (cc) it is Creative Commons, and ready to use with appropriate license - with attribution, and then just to go.

(c)-OK! If the video is marked (c)-OK! then the vid has copyright, but we have notified the owners that we have it included during the test phase and they can

If we don't know the rights level, we notify anyways.

SENT - adding "SENT" in the headline, that means that the link pointing to the resource has been sent to Eric or Daniel.

SO - OK and SENT as the two admin notifiers, and (c) or (cc) or nothing notifying rights of the clip/resource.

• VIDEO HUBS AND DIRECTORIES

General resources;

There are gross hives and hubs marked [Dir:MediaCat]. These are directories or YouTube channels and alike. Aggregated resources to dive through for us all and get moved by.

• BLOG DIRS, AGGREGATED AND NEWS FEEDS

There are also blogging directories, as well as aggregated mainstream media sources, where feeds can be found also to get syndicated for the site sidebars with respective category to be included.

• BLOGGERS

For the Conversation Starters - the Bloggers - those are added too. Their main blog link, and a similar system:

If they have agreed at level 1 - "blog intro" - then it is marked with

(level 1)

And we either will syndicate/have edited earlier publishing, or get origiinal material. These can be chroniclers with repetitive but more seldom contributions, and the guest writers only with one entry.

At

(level 2)

it means that they actively cultivates the category.

Continue to harvest and clear videos. Trigger conversations with periodical and timely blogging. Moderate and cultivate ongoing conversations, in a spirit of dialogue and peace.

• QUESTIONS?

Questions for collaborative gardener and farmer Anders Abrahamsson;

Drop me a DM on @sliceonline!

I hope to see you there too :).

For all else - for longer reasoning, use our Basecamp platform.

Peace, Anders

Next stage - beyond harvesting - copywriting for embeddedness! Mon, 3 Aug 2009

After video has been cleared, suggested to add copy in comments:
  • 60 character headline
  • 220 character description
  • Link to project homepage - not the source where the video was found (YouTube etc).
Mark this:

H: "This is a really great video showcasing a amazing project"

D: "This project/business/innovation is doing this and that, and was first done here and there, and has reached result one, two and three. Needed for it to proliferate and grow is this and you. Help out!"
